Anniversary Week Part 1 (July 22-July 27 2013)

Monday, July 22nd was our 2 year anniversary. It was my turn to plan it so I decided to do an anniversary week. Each day we did something that was similar to something we have done before.

Each day when Bryce got home from work there was a card with a date written on it. On the back I wrote about the memory. It was fun to have something planned to do each night.

Day one: Monday July 22, 2013 similar to February 14, 2011

This was our first Valentine’s day together. We went to what would later become our apartment and Bryce had made me chicken alfredo and gotten breadsticks and salad from Olive Garden. We later watched a chick flick.

This time we had chicken alfredo, garlic sticks and salad from Olive Garden and watched Safe Haven. It was fun to recreate that night!

(a setting had accidentally changed on my camera and I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t focusing, so here is a blurry picture of the evening with our third wheel :)

Day 2: Tuesday July 23, 2013 similar to July 24, 2011

We went to Cancuun on our honeymoon, so we went to Alki beach to remember the good times we had on the beach. We packed a picnic and even though we didn’t go swimming, it was a beautiful evening to hang out on the sandy beach.

The first time Bryce held my hand was at Despicable Me. So we dropped little Avery off at Nate and Becky’s and went to Despicable Me 2. He even held my hand again.

Day 4 July 25, 2013 similar to October 2, 2010

October 2, 2010 was the first time I ever met Bryce. We went on a blind date to his home. We made cake pops and played games. So tonight we made cake pops and played games! I sure was lucky to meet this handsome man.

Morris Family Coast Trip 2013 July 16-July 20

Every year, everyone who can, comes to the coast. We have been going to the coast for as long as I can remember. My mom is an amazing coast trip planner. She feeds us delicious food and delicious desserts. It is so much work for her but yet she does it every time because being together as a family is so important…she would do anything for her kids and grandkids.

I love being with my family. I love going to the coast, even if I complain a lot about the cold. Unfortunately Bryce couldn’t come this year so I had a little taste of being a single mom. Not bad with one little baby. I drove down with Becky and her two boys who was also playing single mom for the week. Lucky part was I got to stay in a nice cozy yurt! Avery did awesome. She actually slept better than she normally does. I guess she likes camping.

I brought my camera but officially did not take one picture. I just have no motivation when my sisters take such great pictures. Here are some pictures taken from Jessica:

My mom does a circus at her preschool so she put one together with the grandkids. It was great fun and entertaining!

Visit to the park and Avery rolls over! {July 15, 2013}

I am without a car again today, and I am doing laundry. Our dryer is totally awful, it takes forever to dry the clothes and heats up the whole house. I decided it was time to escape. I packed up the necessities and headed to the park for a nice cool afternoon. The weather was perfect, especially in the shade. I brought my favorite pal with me, one named Avery.

Upon arriving at the park, I decided it was time for a little tummy time. Avery did so well on her tummy! She just loves the outdoors, and so I think she tolerated it a bit longer than usual. Do you want to know the best part? I’m sure you do. I caught her rolling over on camera! She rolled over about 5 times in a row. She rolled over for the first time, from tummy to back last week but really hasn’t been able to do it since. So you can imagine my excitement when she did it again and again. I didn’t know how to use the video camera setting on my camera so I called Jess, you can always count on Jess, and she quickly explained it to me. I changed my camera to video and sure enough caught the little one turning over. It’s amazing what little things get you excited about as a new mom.

Also, while we were at the park, a few kids came over, 2 kids who were 4 and one who was 3, and started playing with Avery. It was pretty funny. I would have snapped a pic but I’m not so sure if the parents would have been okay with that.

Enjoy!
