March Happenings {March 2016}

Sometimes putting books in the bathroom while I shower is the only way to ensure the kids won’t get into trouble or hurt each other. Avery’s napping place is on the couch and some days are better than others. I was painting something and Avery wanted to pain too so she did!

In the beginning of March we went down to Portland for Madeleine’s baby blessing and Kallie and Davis’ baptisms. Avery and Asher always have a good time together.

  

We had a playgroup at our house for St. Patrick’s Day and this was my spread.

Avery fell asleep in time out, these kids love reading books, and Dallni’s favorite thing to do is climb up on the counter.

We went to the zoo with some friends. The kids loved the zoo so I went ahead and got us a zoo pass so lots of zoo pics coming.

Bryce had a recruiting trip to BYU and the spouses were invited. We decided to buy a ticket for Avery and make it a family trip for the weekend. We went to Chuck E Cheese, to the new aquarium, to the park, to dinner and other fun things. Bryce got sick so that wasn’t very fun.

 

Dallin LOVES to play in the car and he always goes straight to the driver’s seat and plays with the steering wheel. One morning Avery got all dressed and said “I need to go play basketball mom”

One Sunday we went to University of Washington campus to see the trees in bloom. They were beautiful! And there were soo many people there. The kids also loved the duck pond.

Happy Easter! {March 27, 2016}

Our Easter was very low key. We had an indoor Easter egg hunt because it was rainy outside. We ate ham and homemade rolls (my first time making them and they were pretty good!). It’' was a fun relaxing day and Avery and Dallin loved looking for eggs. Of course all the candy afterwards was also well liked by these two.

   

Avery’s Birthday Celebrations and Surprise Visit from Grandparents {March 9-13, 2016}

Our cute little Avery turned 3! I love this little three year old.

When it was her birthday she came into my room when she woke up and said “Mom! It’s my happy birthday!” She’d been looking forward to her birthday for quite some time.

For her birthday, we were low key. We opened presents in the morning, went to music class and brought cookies for everyone, then had beef stroganoff for dinner. The next day we met Bryce for lunch at Chipotle.

On Friday (two days after her birthday) after Bryce left for work, we were getting ready to go grocery shopping when we heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and there was a pile of presents for Avery. I was a little confused then looked around there was Bryce and Tamara then Kevin came from upstairs.They decided to surprise Avery for her birthday! It was a fun surprise and we had a great weekend spending time with them.

Avery got dolls, clothes, blocks etc, cd player, headphones, books and books on cd. She also got some new shirts and wanted to put her new shirt on when she opened it.

Growing up my mom put the first letter of our name made out of m&ms on my birthday cake and I’m keeping the tradition alive!

 

When the Pinders first arrived we went grocery shopping. The kids got to be out of the cart which never happens so they were loving it. Avery also pretty much got to get whatever she wanted.

Grandma and Grandpa stayed in a hotel which comes with perks—like a pool! Avery and Dallin LOVE swimming and had a blast swimming in the pool. That night we went to dinner at cheesecake factory—delicious!

Saturday morning we ran some errands to Home Depot and the library.

   

 

We went to one of our favorite parks on Mercer Island: Luther Burbank park. These kiddos sure love their grandparents!

Saturday night we went to MOD Pizza then to the crossroads mall and road some quarter rides except there was some cultural festival going on so there were TONS of people there.
