We like to go Utah for the 4th of July because Bryce gets a couple days off for the holiday. We left after Bryce’s work party at 1:00pm and arrived at the Pinder’s at 2:15am. The drive went smoothly and the kids did great.
Sunday June 26:
Josh got home from his mission a couple weeks ago and we got to Utah just in time to hear his homecoming talk. He did a great job! We then had a family get together at the house with family with some amazing breakfast food! In the evening there was another little gathering for friends with cheesecake and ice cream. Mmm Delicious!
Monday June 27:
On Monday evening, we went and had family pictures with all the Pinder crew since it had been a couple years since we had all been together. Not the ideal timing for me since I’m large with child but the pictures turned out great, for the most part :) Because of the late sunset, we didn’t even start taking pictures til after 8:00pm and the kids usually go to bed around 7:00 and 8:00 so needless to say it was next to impossible to get the kids to cooperate. The following picture kind of sums up how the evening went.
Tuesday June 28:
We went bowling in the morning then we got to go to The Roof in Salt Lake for dinner. Bryce and I went to The Roof for dinner the day we got engaged, so of course we had to take a picture to commemorate the occasion 5 years ago.
There were so many fun toys to play with at Grandma’s house!
Wednesday June 29
On Wednesday Bryce and I went to the mall to do some shopping. Then when we came home, Tamara and Avery had prepared a tea party. Avery was so cute setting everything out on the table and preparing all the little food. It was a fun little tea party.

Thursdsay June 30
On Thursday we went to the Riverwoods to play in the fountains. On the way, we stopped and fed the goats. My friend Karina and her cute baby came to hang out with us at the fountains. That evening we went up the canyon to have a barbeque. Bryce’s cousin Lacey and her family with their 3 kids came and hung out with us that evening.

Friday July 1
Friday morning we got up early and went to the balloon fest. It started at 6:00am so it was super early but it was worth it. The kids loved seeing all the balloons. It was pretty magical. We even headed over to McDonalds for some yummy breakfast. The little scab under Dallin’s nose was from when he fell down the Pinder’s stairs. We didn’t actually see it happen but poor little guy was lucky and came out of it with just a small cut under his nose.
Later that day we went and got Avery a hair cut. She loved it. She actually said she wanted it like Daddy’s and Dallin’s but we comprised with this length :)

On the way home Avery was doing this so we asked her what she was doing and she said “I’m trying to keep my haircut”. I assured her that her haircut wasn’t going anywhere and she was quite relieved. That night we went had a fun game night then we went to a firework show put on by a realtor that Kevin knows. It was amazing! And Avery was absolutely terrified after the first firework. She just kept saying the fireworks were loud and scary so she watched the remainder of the show with her eyes closed and Bryce plugging her ears.
When we went to the balloon fest in the morning, Miss Provo threw candy from the hot air balloon as it went up. Avery was sad she didn’t get any so then she was telling Grandma that she wanted to throw candy from a balloon. So we settled on throwing candy from the porch and Avery loved it.
